The following policy explains the usage of your data that you give to us while the use of our service, including but not limited to our www.gethalalnow.com and www.halalhmc.org websites and HMC iOS and android mobile applications (“apps”) (together, the “Platform”)).

By use of this Platform and our services, you consent to the processing of your Personal Information as represented during this Privacy Policy. The personal information we collect is used to improve our performance and our services to our clients.

The terms “we”, “us”, “our” and “Halal Now” all refer to our company Halal Now Ltd (www.gethalalnow.com). We'll not share your info with anyone except as provided by this Privacy Policy.

A.    Scope

This policy applies to clients of Platform of Halal Now. This policy will characterize how our Platform and its partners gather and utilize individual information. The Policy applies to all clients of our applications, sites, highlights, or different administrations anywhere in the United Kingdom, except if covered by a different policy notice. This Policy is planned for each of its clients including yet not restricted to the customers, riders, restaurants, and/or vendors. This policy also regulates the individual’s information given to Halal Now’s administration. Everybody subject to this policy is alluded to as "clients" in this notice/policy.

In addition, please note the following:

 

  • For Guest Users: The personal information of users who order or deliveries via partner websites or apps (such as when ordering from a restaurant or other merchant), or arranged by other account owners (collectively “Guest or Visitor Users”) is used solely to provide such deliveries or other services requested through a third party, and for purposes of safety and security, customer support, research, and development, empowering correspondence among clients, and regarding legal procedures and prerequisites, each as outlined in "Use of Individual Information". Visitor User's personal information might be imparted to any other party for these grounds. Such information might be related to, and available by, that account owner. This specifically includes Visitor Users who receive deliveries ordered by owners of Halal Now for Business accounts, or who receive deliveries ordered by friends, family members, or others. For queries, comments, or complaints regarding Guest User data, or to submit requests regarding such data, please contact us on the information provided in the introduction.

 

 

B.    Data Controller and Transfer

 

Halal Now Ltd. is the data controller for the personal data collected in connection with the use of its services in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

Halal Now operates and processes personal data in the United Kingdom. We may transmit such information to jurisdictions other than the ones where our clients reside or utilise our services in order to perform our services to our clients. Questions, comments, and complaints about Halal Now’s data practices can be submitted to us via email or mail at the information provided in the introduction.

 

III.      COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION AND USE

 

A. Data collected

We collect the following personal information:

•    provided by users to us, such as during account creation

•    created during use of our services, such as location, app usage, and device data

•    from any other source, for example, different clients or record proprietors, colleagues, merchants, protection and monetary arrangement suppliers, and government authorities.

 

The following personal data is collected by or on behalf of Halal Now

  • User profile: Information is collected from the users when they are signing up or updating an account. This may include their name, date of birth, email address, phone number, login name and password, address, profile picture, payment or banking information (for online payments), driving license (for the drivers/riders), and other government documents. For the riders/drivers, we may collect additional information such as the driving license, insurance and other required documents of the vehicle.
  • Identity verification and background for riders: Information such as criminal record and or history and background of driver, the status of driver’s license and car’s insurance, previous addresses of the driver, and work status of the riders and restaurants. This information may be collected by an authorized vendor on Halal Now’s behalf.
  • Content by User: Data that a user submits while their contact with our support/customer service team or via the internet or mobile app, is collected by us. Feedback, ratings, etc. submitted by a user in connection with customer support is also included.
  • Transactions: If a transaction is initiated through our Platform, we may collect and store information related to that transaction, such as your name, address, phone number, and email (collectively, the “Personal Information”). This information may be shared with third parties, and third parties may share such information with us, for the same purpose. We may send marketing offers, deals, promotions, and discounts that will be per the Halal Now Terms of Business and we hold the right to restrict, limit or discontinue any offer, deal, promotion, or discount without providing any reason or prior notice. To submit orders through the Platform, you will be required to provide certain information in addition to the Personal Information noted above. Such information may include a debit card number, credit card number, billing address, and similar information (collectively, the “Billing Information”).
  • Billing Information Processing: We don’t store billing information directly. The information is tokenized and the payment data is maintained by the payment gateway and we owe no responsibility in regards to any mishandling or breaches in regards to data management by the payment gateway.
    • Activity: We may store information about your use of our service, such as the date and time of your visit, the vendors you access using our Platform, and the transactions that you make through our service.
    • Location: We may also receive and store your location information whenever our mobile applications are running, including when they are running in the background if you enable our mobile app to access such information in the course of using our service. You may be able to limit or disallow our use of certain location data of yours by adjusting your “location settings” in your mobile app or browser.
    • Different Devices: You may be able to access our services through multiple devices, such as your computer and/ or mobile phone. The information we collect and the activity that we track are cross-referenced and combined across all platforms.
    • Device data: We might gather information about the devices used to get to our services which may include the hardware models, IP address of the device or other unique device identifiers, software/operating systems and versions, preferred languages, and other device data including the mobile network data.
    • Communications Data: While using our services, users, customers, vendors, and restaurants are enabled to communicate with each other and Halal Now our website and mobile application. For example, the riders are enabled, for calling and sending texts, to each other (this is generally done by not disclosing the identity and details to each other). For the provision of this service, Halal Now receives some data of communications like calls, texts, or other communications, including the date and time of the communications and the content of the communications. Halal Now may be using this data for customer support services (e.g for resolving disputes with customers), for safety and security purposes and for improving our services and features, and for better administration
    • Safety recordings: For safety purposes and making our administration more effective and productive for our customers, We, Halal Now may record calls, details of the trips of the riders. All of this information is confidential and shall not be used except for safety issues or as required under the law.
  • Data from other Sources: These include:
    • Users or any other person who provides the information in connection with claims or disputes.
    • Halal Now business partners through which users create or access their Halal Now account, like payment providers, social media services, or apps or websites that use Halal Now application or website.
    • Vehicle, insurance, or financial services providers for drivers.
    • Information that is available through public sources.
    • Marketing service providers or data resellers whose data is used by Halal Now for marketing or research.
    • Law enforcement agencies, or other government departments.
  • The data collected from these sources may be combined with other data in Halal Now’s possession.

 

B. Usage of Personal Information

We use your personal information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfillment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers. Such information is also used for;

•    enhancing the safety and security of users of Halal Now

2.  For Safety Purposes: User personal information is used to help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of our services and users. This includes:

•    Verification of user’s identity and eligibility for providing deliveries for helping to prevent the use of our services safely;

•    Use of data from riders’ devices to ensure the safe driving behavior by riders;

•    Use of device, location, user profile, usage, and other data for preventing, detecting, and combating fraud;

•    Use of user rating, complaints about ensuring a better and safe environment for our customers.

 

     The aforementioned activities are performed on grounds that they are mandatory to fulfill our obligations with users under our Terms of Use or any other agreement with users and for Halal Now or other parties' legitimate safety and security interests including users and members of the general public.

 

 

3.  Customer Service: We use the information collected from our users (which may include call recordings) for providing customer support, including the investigation and addressing user concerns, and monitoring and improving our customer support responses and processes.

 

 

4.  Service Providers: We share your Personal Information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. For example:

•    In processing your order, we may send your information to credit reference and fraud prevention agencies.

 

5.  Research and Development:We may use information collected by us for research and development purposes to enhance the quality of our services.

 

6.  Communication between users: To enable the users including the customer and the rider to interact and communicate with each other.

8.  Legal Proceedings and requirements: Personal data may be used for investigation or address claims or disputes relating to the use of Halal Now or its partners’ services, for satisfying requirements under applicable laws, agreements, or according to legal process or governmental request, including from law enforcement.

 

     We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, court order, search warrant, or another lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

If you sign up for or log onto, our Platform using a third-party service (for instance Facebook), we may receive information about you from such third-party service.

 

IV. LEGAL RIGHTS OF USER

Automatic decision-making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (which includes profiling), when that decision-making has a legal effect on you or otherwise significantly affects you.

We DO NOT engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect using customer data.

We use limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

Services that include elements of automated decision-making include:

•    Temporary denylist of IP addresses associated with repeated failed transactions. This denylist persists for a small number of hours.

•    Temporary denylist of credit cards associated with deny listed IP addresses. This denylist persists for a small number of days.

GDPR

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you, to port it to a new service, and to ask that your Personal Information be corrected, updated, or deleted/removed.
